Ive got a scratch on my freshly painted front end.....through to the metal

&

I 'may' have got caught speeding, came round a blind bend on the Mway doing around 80, had cruise control on just....cruising to find a marked police volvo parked up above a bridge, slammed on the brakes amost causing the guy behind to go into me. Not sure what they were up to 50/50 really wait & see.

i saw a police van on a bridge on the m11 and was doing about 82 in a 70, loads of other cars around me doing the same speed so i just tapped the brakes and drove on as normal.

guess i'm playing the waiting game too then

If it is the manual speed cameras that have film in the then on a busy stretch of road they can run out of film in something like 3 hours so thats why you can get flashed and you get away with it.
But they are introducing digital ones that store 100s of thousands of images or something stupid like that.

Colin, you'll find that your speedo is out, if you were doing 77mph and not 80.

9 times out of 10 you'll be fine with that

i thort that if it flashed once you was ok and two flashers ment it'd got u? have to take 2 pics to work out your speed?

It flashed twice but it's months ago now so will be ok.

This wasnt a gatso he got caught by.

IF he got caught, it was a copper with a speed gun.

Was it a normal Volvo or a van? Was there a window/door open? Was there anyone outside the car? Was there another police car further down the motorway?

Normal Volvo marked up, window closed as far as I could see. No one outside & no car further down. Scumbags

Scare tactics - it's been known round here that coppers take a break casually parked on a bridge.

You'll be fine.

If he had a speed gun he will have had to pulled you over later up the mway. If not it will have to be a van that catches you, takes your picture and produces a speeding ticker

you wont get done for 80 on a motorway and if your speedo said 80 you were probably going 70/75
