people are asking for 8k for these, not worth it really as there 5 years old now

I looked at a 03/53 silver gsi on sunday with FVSH, 1 owner, mint with 18' irmscher wheels and 1 years mot / 6 months tax on 55k

£7500

an 03 is only worth £6500 at most

I had a 53 reg up for £6200 with bugger all interest

hence the reason I'm now keeping it

Take a few things into consideration

-mileage on yours..80 odd thousand

-you said the car was suffering from a misfire from an exhaust you fitted, yes you said it was fixed but still not the best advertisement for something you're trying to flog

- not exactly the most accessible person on the planet being in the scottish highlands

- incase you haven't noticed we've just had christmas and new year so everyone isn't exactly flush at the moment

need any more points?

I used mine as an example, ad yes your correct

But an 03reg is not worth 7k of anyones money anymore

dealers are asking less

Dealers try selling SRI turbos for 6k still! If you had sold yours for 7.5k im sure you would be whistling a different tune

I wouldn't advertise mine for 7.5k I'd be laughed off by any buyers as dealer price is £7.1k

When i checked last week there were 3 on there and all were £7k plus.

parkers means shit imo. Said my calibra was worth 1k sold it for 3.5

I agree, a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it imo...You usually find the right buyer who's willing to pay the amount you want for it eventually...

I paid £8500 for my 03 too,

And its mint, FVSH, sat nav, xenons, rain sensors, airbag extras the lot, its only done 44k as well

Currently runs 317bhp, and if I was to sell it now I would still push the same sorta money..

When i wanted to buy one they were selling so quick I couldnt keep up with it!

they cant depreciate that quick i brought mine last jan 07 and paid 8400 for it with fvsh and 40k on clock etc etc ur talling me ive lost 2k in 12months and ive only covered another 8k since.

its not all down to price either has been christmas and you have to consider condition/mileage/extras/colour everything comes into it
