I've spent this morning getting quotes for my corsa and so far i'm not having much luck The cheapest quote i've have so far is £2464! thats will everything declared by the way.
Has anyone got any recommendations on companies to call for a 17 year old with a modified corsa?
Corsa 1.0 12v Merit
Modifications are
Vauxhall Alloywheels
GSI Spoiler
Colour coded bumpers
Lowered
Non standard lights
CD Player
Sub woofer
Exhaust
would really appreciate some help folks

Quinn imo, didnt charge any extra for alloys as they say they are standard on most cars nowadays, and i saw hardly any change when i lowered it, and it beat all the other quotes i had too

Cheers Tom. Just got off the phone to brentacre and they said I need to be 19 for them to cover it
As for Quinn, they won't give me a quote for it until I turn 17. I've heard they are very good on prices so might hold out a call them back on my birthday

Thats obscene I would only be declaring the exhaust and lowering the rest is pretty standard.
I'd take the bits off then get some no claims and then put them on when you can afford it.
Your quotes are more than the cars value surely?

I agree - only declare anything that is performance enhancing. For example, if you had a rear end prang, and you needed a new boot lid. You'd get one specced for a Merit, minus the spoiler.
All you're doing by declaring the spoiler for example, is having it replaced in the event of a crash.
I had a crash in my car. Had the alloys declared, but not the debadge grill or headlights which were destroyed. They simply repaired with standard lights and V-grill.
As for your ICE, most companies include that in their policies now.

I should add that these quotes are third party fire and theft!
Fad, These quotes are with the car value at £1000. Its insane!
r eDeano, If I didnt tell them about my colour coding, spoiler etc and just told them its got an exhaust and lowering kit would that not void my policy?
Thanks for your input everyone
