Right, I'm sick of my 15"s ET40 rubbing with a 60mm drop and 195/50's

Plus I'm starting to dislike my ripspeed budget wheels

so thought I'll just bang some steelies on and spray them black. On the cheap, at least they'd be offset 49 etc.

so phoned the scrappy, no 4 stud 15"s in, but they have 14" wheels in with mint continental tyres.

I nearly fell over when I heard what they wanted for them.........

.........£80 + VAT.

£94 for 14" steelies with tyres

But everone says my wheels are shite, but I must be the only one that thinks they look alright.

I have decided to leave them on the car as I can't be arsed to fork out for more, so will just replace with decent tyres when mine wear out.

I just want to know why people think they're shite? Is it because they are Ripspeed? Arent they made by Team Dynamics?

I think £299 with tyres etc is a fookin bargain!

Looked at the price of speedlines - £681 with Toyo T1-R!

less than a week

Yeah i knew someone would dig that out

I am getting bored off them tbh, and the rubbing is doing my head in. It's tearing my rear arches up.

Looking for some ET49 wheels now, but I ain't paying £94 for 14" steelies

Really? I thought nearly £100 for steelies + tyres was well excessive!

less than £25 a wheel is fair enough if the tyres on them are nearly new

A quick search:

4 x continental tyres 165/65/14 = £145

So nearly new conti's with 14" steel wheels for £94 aint too bad really then.

sounds a fair price seeing as they have "mint continental tyres", do you expect them to just give them away for a few quid because they are steelies?

I have some 13" steelies, with no tyres that you can have for nothing if you pick them up.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I paid £160+VAT for some 15" steels with NO tyres, so £94 for a set of 14s with Contis is a very good price.

price seems fair for wheels/mint tyres but tbh you'd probably get a better deal somewhere else.

Sounds better than first thought then

May invest, and create a sleeper.

+49 offset and continental tyres is better than my ripspeed ET40 wheels with silverstone() 195/50/15 tyres.

Cheers.

Give me chance mate. Rome weren't built in a day.

I didn't mean it would be a sleeper with a 1600

too quick to shoot me down in true CS style.

Cheers
