Has anyone drove one or owned one?
Just because i will be looking for a a new car next year because im getting sick of driving a slow 1.2 corsa b and i will be looking for a nippy vauxhall.i have been looking on the internet at the astra mk4 1.6 16v but not sure if they will be a bit thirsty becasue i only travel 3miles to work and 3 miles back and smaller journeys uses up more petrol so now iv also been looking on the net at the corsa c 1.4sri and the 1.4 twinports so if anyone can give me any advice and thoughts on what to get i would really appreciate it

My ex owns one. Not impressed at all. Has the 'my engine is made of polystyrene' feel about it. Isnt very responsive or powerful.
Spend the money on something with a bit of oomph.
EDIT: She has a 04 plate SRi btw.
Id have a 1.7CDTi and have it chipped IMO

I've got a 1.4 twinport and its not a bad lil engine. The performance won't rip your face off as standard, but the fuel consumption is good and theres potential for 150bhp if you wanna tune it (and more than that if you wanna turbo).
Also coincidentally the engine note isn't too bad.

Just out of curiosity, what engines/cars have you owned in the past?

I had a 1.4 Twinport SXI Corsa C. I'd have another one tomorrow
Got shut of mine as i thought it was time to grow up a bit
Quicker than my 307 and used less fuel.
Think i'm going to get a Corsa D as my next car in a few years.

So you gained 17bhp from and exhaust and a filter????
How the fuck?
Do you have a RR printout to prove it?

Yeah. I gave all the details to the new owner sorry. Some of the NWNW region can confirm it was pulling 100 BHP when we RR it last year.
Although the engine blow up shortly after
