I know everyone talks about Regals rollers; after my last one I had my car dynod at Engine Advantages in Witham (very well known for accuracy) and the readings were only a couple of bhp diff to Regals!!
Heres a quick pic of the car

The standard stage 2 has low comp pistons, steel rods and an uprated turbo.

i also had me head ported and polished by a guy called Neil Roper.
When it was the engine work was done I also had a sachs paddle clutch fitted and a quaife ATB.

we get the opposite with the 182's. they all make 168. and the 172's make 164 pretty much consistemtly.

why did you do the dblias conversion in the first place ? would it not of been better starting with a z-let and working upwards on that ?

i find it hard to belive the 1.8 which is 123 standard could get that kind of power as shown on your graph

Too many people had done that at the time. Mine was only 2nd one to have the Dbilas conversion and i didnt see much point in changing an engine which had only covered about 15,000 miles when the conversion was done. It also effected my insurance alot less!
