Just recieved this via email

quote:
Dear Steve,

Last week I was informed that a group called Transaction 2007 had plans this weekend to release a statement announcing some kind of protest action relating to the price of fuel in the UK. I have just read a statement published on their web site in which they have confirmed that they are going to organise legal protest action, and that it could begin as early as this Wednesday.

I have got more on the PetrolPrices.com blog about this:

http://www.petrolprices.com/blog/petrol-price-protests-planned-for-this-wednesday-86.html

We will of course be following the story as it unfolds next week to keep you informed. If you want to express your opinion about the plans you can do so on our blog, as always, by leaving your comments and voting in our polls.

Thinking about things 'outside the box' - Petrol doesnt really go up all that much more than other stuff you buy. Its the ammount of duty & tax that pisses folk off, thats the angle that should be pressurised into being reduced. Whats a road blockage actually going to achieve excent serious inconvinience for the general working class. Kind of pisses me off this, If you dont like the cost of petrol then stop buying it, move your businesses out of this country, stop paying your taxes. Te k'ents will listen then!

It's to the point now where i wouldn't have a car if i didn't need one just because of the fuel costs. I need my car to get to work and back as there is no direct train link.

I hardly go out anywhere now because i refuse to pay fuel costs.

didn't they make it illegal to block fuel transporters from getting their fuel to the shops?

i just filled up today so i ain't bothered. if people are so bothered about it, don't pay it. no one's forcing you too.

Even if it did happen it would acheive sweet FA, because people will panic buy so petrol stations will have a busy 1 day then a few quiet ones and probably still make the same amount of money.

We have no control over the government. I've said it before and will continue to say it, i blaim all these on benefits screwing the system. They are lapping up our hard earned taxes. Then they take more and more taxes on our purchases and fuel.
If it wasn’t for my family i’d of left this country a few months back when i was offered a job at Barclays in the Isle of Man.

It's made a tank for the Laguna go from £63 to £68.
If I was still running the 306, it'd 9 pence per litre more, which isn't a matter of a couple of pence.
