avant classically will be 6-12months later, audi may rush it through quicker though as they know how popular it is

great thing is, if he likes the new car, and wants an avant, get an agreed value on his a4 now, then when the new one is here, he'll not have lost any £££

a5's are  , does he want a brand new car, as i would suggest a used a6, diffrent class of car

Its not radically different looking but it'll be lots of small changes throughout that I bet you notice when going from the current A4 to the new one. Prices seem a bit steep

well, sort of, but not really, it has all the stuff like the mmi from the A6, which the a4 wont get till the new model
the clever bit is the name, instead of just beeing a a4 coupe, with its own name, it makes it a bit more speical, with BMW owners id imagine someone with a 316 going to a 3 series coupe owner, "oh iv'e got one of those"
with calling it the A5, and giving it a slightly diffrent look, it cant be compared to a lesser model, and makes it a bit more classy
