In considering an audi s8 as my next car? Insurance is not much more than astra, its big and sexy. My only concern is if it goes wrong. Stupid money to fix?!

i would grace this thread with pix but im on my phone and cut and paste is hard! I am of course reffering to the old shape!

If you are buying one check it over extremly carefully, if it goes wrong you will out of pocket. I bought an a4 and ever since i got it it has given me trouble.

Get the checks done etc

The only reason id go for something like that is if i had a huge savings account tbh. But you could get a good one and have no bother at all.

I wouldn't want to be picking up the bill for running costs. Unless I am assuming they are worse than they are on fuel, parts, servicing etc.

Fuel doesnt concern me, neither does insurance. Servicing and broken bits scare the shit out of me tho

alot of car for money but does seem to be a bit of a gamble. If it doesnt go wrong excellent cheapish motoring considering the price new toys and quality, then if it goes wrong > financial ruin

Wouldnt see much point in one tbh? Its hardly small weighs a couple of tonnes and i doubt the harsher ride would appeal to people wanting a comfy cruiser
