Me and 7 mates are going go-karting, doing the grand prix thing which is 10 races of 6 laps, should be a laugh. Anyone got any tips? Ive only been once before when I was 12, in those kiddy cart things, not quite the same thing

pedal to the floor, and not to fast into tight corners, you lose alot of speed if the back end steps out

Smooth acceleration out of tight corners, like mark said keep the back end in check or you will lose time.

Nail it through easy corners, but as said, take it easy on tight ones. Don't put your foot on the brake and accel cause that slows them down too apparently. And remember, it's a go kart, not a car, so you can throw the fucker about 10x more

Try to carry your speed. If you brake too much it will take you ages to get backup to speed. Use all the turn so you don't have to brake as much.

That's the way to do it

I went on some at Trax, every corner people where passing me cos I was driving like I'd drive my Corsa, so I tried giving it a bit more, then more, then more again, the grip is amount of grip is unbelievable

Fuck me that was fun!!! All my mates that i went with had been before, and I didnt know before, but one of them was also the junior champion of Galicia a few years ago hahaha. First race i came last, 2nd i came penultimate, third i was 3rd from last, 4th i was 4th from last (So improving every time ) 5th I got spun out and had to wait for everyone to pass me before I could rejoin; finished penultimate and the last one I came 5th, so even though I didnt do that well, I was pleased with myself and had a fucking wicked time! We had a break half way through and went to the bar, had a pint of beer and a red bull and spanish measure of whisky (so probably at least a UK triple) and I swear it helped my driving
