oh, a bloke down the road from me had a Monza GSE. think it was a 2.5 not sure though...the only one iv ever seen.

hmmm, from what i remember about my parents old GTE, its about as crash safe as a crisp packet

I don't think it has been stretched, the rear wheel is further forward than normal, that's why it looks odd.

As I thought, the Corvette has a shorter wheelbase than the Astra.

Corvette is 2443.5mm
Astra is 2520mm

The front of that one has been stretched, and the rear arches moved forward.

Still can't find more details though

The rear wheels look about 12" forward....

As for GTE's being fragile, I hit a18" high irrigation wall sideways in mine (doing about 30mph - dont ask) and I don't recall there being an unbent panel on the thing afterwards

I'd say 7 or 8 looking at this pic.



The front is about a foot longer, look at the bit behind the wheel, infront of the door, where the battery sits in the Corvette/Astra, that's a good 4" longer, if not more.
