Anyone given it a thought yet?

Worst night out of the year for me, always a big build up followed by a rubbish night out! Usually we struggle to get in anywhere as its all ticket only. Most years its just me and my mate as everyone else makes other plans, girlfriends, work mates etc. Last year wasn't too bad, my mate who I go drinking with, go to football matches with went to Costa Del Sol where his parents live last year and will be doing the same this year. Theres talk of a fancy dress house party. House party might not be a bad idea, I find Christmas Eve a better night out anyway!

New Years Eve is overated to be honest.

I usually go to a party.

It's the one night of the year that the nob heads that dont usually go out go out. They get too drunk and turn into complete twats. Hate town on NYE.

haha yeh, most years it's a let down! Though I hate house parties, I find them utterly boring as it's usually people you've known for years and nothing much happens...

Last year was ultimately the shittest new years I've ever had though!

ESSSSAyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I went to london with about 10 mates, (one of which had a house in london!) we first went to his house, had a few beers, then the plan was, head into town, watch the fireworks and then get into a club / bar...

So left fairly late, walked into town... But it was MANIC, absolutely packed full of people everywhere. Ended up on some bridge, being crushed from both sides - people just screaming as they couldn't breathe - helicopters over head flying over the masses of people helpless to do anything... Yet still, more and more people were trying to push from both sides, causing the masses to be crushed and unable to move!

Fireworks kicked off and it got worse as the bridge was a great viewing point, finally managed to squeeze out of the crowds and went down the embankment to watch the rest! - but meanwhile our group got split into about 3! So we were all trying to find each other through the masses of people which took ages and several phone calls. Finally we all meet up, head off to a bar / club - but couldn't get in most places. Finally find somewhere we could and unsurprisingly they were charging a lot to get in, half my mates being poor pikey / student types refused to pay and in the end it was too late. headed back... it was 6am, I was completely sobre and had just had the shittest new years ever! Couldn't be arsed to sleep, so went with my mate and caught a train home...

To make matters worse! I bought a 'bacon roll' from mcdonalds (first time I've had one from them) and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted! was like someone doing a shit in your mouth!

Summary...

My last new years, I went to london with mates, it was crap.

Budapest is nice. My folks went there last year.

I'm hopefully going to a house party. Fuck going out, waste of money as everything costs at least twice as much.
