I was driving back from Luton today and it was raining and even snowing. Visibility was especially poor, as it was driving rain toward us/me.
This car behind was tailgating like shit, I put the anchors on a bit, saw the front of his car dive, he than flashed full beams. I then proceeded to drive at 25mph in the 30mph, like you're supposed to, as in the Highway Code.
He then decided to overtake when we hit the national (single carriageway), almost on a blind bend.
imho, tailgatting isn't acceptable and dangerous as it is, let alone the wet & cold driving conditions.
I didn't realise it was a taxi (Ford Galaxy) until he overtook. I caught him up at the next roundabout as there was traffic, so he didn't gain anything in overtaking, and got the reg plus his taxi number.
Shall I report him to the council?

Ok, I'll rephrase the question - would you?
I wouldn't normally report joe-public, but this was a taxi driver, so his licensed to drive in an acceptable manor. I'm sure it'll be in a contract.

The other week I reported a guy that came in the shop because he was drunk-ish (over the driving limit). I didn't know he was driving until he drove off, so naturally wouldn't/shouldn't have sold him alcohol. I reported him to Beds Police.

I wouldn't unless his driving was really bad tbh.
And if you stamped on the brakes in front of him your driving wasn't perfect was it.
You should have just slowed and let him past.
Reporting him could cost him his job so should only be considered if his driving really was that bad which tbh i doubt!

Deano you're such a fanny sometimes

oh and i wouldn't report someone who was deliberately trying to annoy me, i'd just pull up next to him, have a row about it, then drive off and feel as though i have achieved something.
failing that, punch him

I know he wouldn't have hit me. . .I was just making the point that if he did hit me, he would have been too close and his fault, end of.
