This ones not even made it a year, I'm getting worse now and don't think my bank balance can take it

Times change, I'll be sad to see it go but I think the days of me tuning cars are over, I'm fed up of the noise, the trouble driving it in traffic, the fuel drinking, the worry of leaving it anywhere, the tyre munching etc etc

Not sure what I'm going to replace it with, I hate to say but have been looking at a Silver M3 with red leather and all the options, I was totally unimpressed last time I drove one but it's easy to drive, much cheaper to run, less likely to get vandalised/nicked etc etc so I think that's what I'll buy if the Evo sells before that sells.

I've never been sad selling a car

Are we talking E46 or E36? They are still expensive to run etc.

sounds like your minds made up. It could be worse though (replacing it with an m3), but if you don't like them why get one, is there nothing else you would fancy?

E46 - Much cheaper to run believe me! Although not 'cheap' it's more sensible, I'm just fed up of filling up every 5 mins. I'm going through tyres every 4000 miles, services every 4500 miles, 15 mpg, higher insurance. I'm not interested in a boring/cheap car but it needs to be semi sensible.

Nothing else really Ticks the boxes Tom, I do like them just not a lot Looked at R32 Golfs etc but just way too slow and boring, I wouldn't mind an RS4 but then we're talking ability to tune it easily which is too tempting. I need something that doesn't really respond well to tuning (so I won't be tempted to try!) yet is reasonably quick, comfortable, easy going etc.

Yeah on a 2000 plate, don't want to spend more than 22ish really. Not keen on NSX, drove a targa couple years back and I really need the rear seats/boot space

whichever, prefer either over M3.

Newer is nice though.

Friend bought an 07 one a few months back. Sounds like a bloody nascar (with some sport mode thing on the exhaust note seems to change)

RS4 would have alot of boot space and even an avant is much cooler than an m3 imo you don't HAVE to modify it either, pretty nippy out the box anyway (are they the 2.7tt ones)?

Yeah they are Tom, tbh I don't really want an estate although there is a very cool 460bhp Silver one on pistonheads I also had a phobia over age and mileage, anything over 3-4 years and 50k miles keeps me awake at night

You're back tracking in age of cars.
I highly doubt the old RS4 interior will appeal to you, so you'll end up selling that as quick as you bought it IMO.

Newer M3 or RS4

I wouldnt buy a skyline - getting quite 'chav' to be honest. R34's arent going to keep there 25k+ value for much longer either.

Still good cars just too 'maxxed' now
