40mm is apparently better for handling, yes.

Cost....anything from £40 for second hand stuff to £1000 for top grade shizzle.

Best make of spring....Eibach??

Best shockers are Bilstein.

if you are debating what is good for handling then dont bother with just springs. get a full springs and shocks suspension kit.

Eibach works very well with black Billies.
My Billies were shortened and for the road you really don't want to go harder.

I have a set of Koni Sports to, but remove then because they are to harsh.
They need a spring with a lower poundage then Eibach for the road

Read your thread properly mate. Eibachs are £135 as said above.

Standard shocks won't do much for the handling though.

I wouldn't bother spending that much if the shocks aren't being replaced TBH, you might just as well buy some £60 one from eBay.

b6 shocks are the inverted sports 'yellow' damper, very good damper but not shortened. the B8 damper is the shortened uprated one.

It is ok with standard shocks but terrible with Koni sport yellows. Good for smooth surface but not good for the road

The only pictures where it is lowered are the ones right at the very end. Further more iirc they were taken not long after it was lowered, imo they have settled alot more now.
