Bit shit really.
Isn't your CD player a face off one? I also copy all my CD's for the car so if they did get stolen, it wouldn't matter too much.
So if anyone did break into my car, they wouldn't find anything, I'd just have to deal with a smashed window.

That's the reason I didn't get one. Nothing like £500 strapped to your dash that you can't take out

To be fair an alarm isnt going to stop someone.
my mates sounds got nicked a few yards from a main police station and his car was alarmed.
police checked their cctv off their own building and could just make out shadows breaking in with the hazards and siren going
Story was even in the local paper
"Moral of story if they want they will get no matter what fancy alarm is on it."
Just lucky my dog sleeps in my garage at nights

Ah, at least you'll know in the middle of the night that they've nicked it, rather than in the morning then

Yeah i understand leaving the wallet etc in wasnt a the brightest idea, but i live in a small town with supposedly a 'low' crime rate, anywhere else i go i remove those.

Unlucky about having your car broken into mate. I should be more careful really, i'm always leaving stuff lying around in my car!
If your looking for a decent Alpine HU and don't mind spending the money, I've just bought a Alpine 9887R with the iPod Cable. The head unit is the absoloute bollocks at the moment, and has all the features that you could possibly want! Imprint Sound, Full Speed, 4x60w really is cool - I paid £295 for mine.
Also could be worth considering an Alarm. Something like the Toad Ai606 would be ace for your car, and they sell for about £100 on eBay. Can also be linked up to your central locking so you can have it on a remote!

We leave keys in ignition , wallets and all sorts of flash property here in our cars, nobody would take em' or risk gettin' shot in the face here plus we have Russell Crowe's security idiots runnin' up and down the road all night!!!
cause' we live just up the road from him.

£220, fully fitted within 100 mile radius of Birmingham, certificated installer so insurance discounts may apply
tbh, the fact you live in a low crime rate area has something to do with it.

I dont think 'low car crime' areas are very low crime at all. I moved from fairly central Birmingham to fairly central Plymouth. My insurance company gave me a massive discount on my insurance when i moved (i got a £250 refund 6 months into my policy!)
Yet ive seen 10 times the amount of car crime in Plymouth than i ever saw in Birmingham. Feel much less safe here .

your more likely to have a bent door than a smashed window, if they know what there doing, happened to my gsi last month aswell

All I mean is I wouldn't have the cost/hassle of replacing CD players, CD's, wallets, cancelling cards etc. I'd just have to deal with the car.

in a way I don't have to worry so much, I live in a very nice area probably one of the nicest in my town...
There are only 3 cars on my drive way they are:
My dads VW Touran
Stepmums Freelander 2
My Corsa
Next door have a nice
TVR Tuscan S
Evo 6
BMW M3 (old style)
BMW X5
I know which car I'd rather nick....
but yea leaving your wallet in the car
