If you aren't looking for fast, I don't see why you'd want to get a Golf.

I'd personally get the fastest non-GTi Polo.

Wank how? if you don't want a fast car it's not as if it's unreliable? I've driven 1 and thought it was alright.

i gues when u guys say TDi 90 / 130 / 150 etc the numbers refer to bhp? @cam1, ive got a 1.8 petrol escort (115bhp) and tbh its slow as anything. My uncle also had a 1.6 mk4 golf and he didnt like it because it was 'dangerous to overtake in' (hes not a mental driver) and swapped it in for his 2.0TDi golf iirc and he said it was 1000x better. Is it not worth decking in your other car and just keeping one car (so only 2 tax and insurance instead of 3)?

I have spent most of my life pulling mk4 polos to bits to scrap yards

I love them to bits but they are slow tbh

I like the AEX, APQ and even the old ABD engines. They only make 60bhp but they dont break, even when driven in the red all the time

AHU 1.9TDI 90bhp is a good engine. You can tune these much easier also

1.6.....don't bother
The corsa 1.4 modles make more power than these
