my dad just got summoned, problem is he knows very little english so i doubt he can help lol, they do give you like £40 a day then £60 a day after 10 days

No they don't!!!
There is no payment from them except for expenses....I read all my stuff today and it's there in black and white...
They will cover your loss of wages but you do not get paid for doing Jury Duty...

I'm interested if you still get paid or not? Is it your employer that's obliged to pay or is pay arranged through the courts? I'm a contractor so if I ever got called up it's certain my employer won't pay
