and were starting to see dark frosty mornings and its getting darker earlier, its time for a new coat methinks
but what do we consider a reasonable amount to spend on a winter coat?
ive seen one i like but i just cant justify spending £125 on it

£50 i'd say
I saw one i loved that was £50, but just couldnt justify spending that much on a jacket

£125 Isnt a huge amount really......if you like it get it

I got bought a 'The North Face' coat for my 18th birthday and I still wear it. I've yet to wear anything other than a t-shirt underneath it this year. iirc it was near the £200.
But it is really really warm. imho, if you want to spend a lot on a coat, don't go for Stone Island or something, actually go to an outdoor shop. The North Face do parker style ones, which are warm and stylish, but cost a fair bit.

ive got a 100 quid o'neill ski jacket and a 60 quid fenchurch.
wear them both loads had the fenchurch well over a year and the oneill probably a year. still like new.
i think its worth it if theyre made reet spesh if they look good
