Someone got a right bargain there TBH,
Cant believe you were going to buy it stavs
Am I right in thinking C20LET's go for alot more than that with alot more miles on

Im guessing there is no conversion kit available yet for a corsa d vxr engine to a corsa b or c?? i guess you would need to spend loads at a fabricators to specially make them?

Depends on the block and gearbox design, and how handy you are though doesn't it.

The going rate for a LET and an F28 used to be over a grand a while back, though I think things have calmed down now as everyone has realised than an engine which is dirty and leaky and has doen 100000 miles is probably only worth a couple of hundred.

Let's are still worth quite a bit considering what an XE is worth
either way that seems far far to cheap for an engine which hasnt even been run in yet

It's the same block as the 1.4 and 1.6 16v engines already in the B, all you'd need is a little bit of adjustment on the gearbox mount, and a front engine mount from a B, sorted.

well kinda glad i didnt win it tbh. after investigation the only car this will work in would be a corsa D. unless i could find a company to make a ecu/loom to make it work, which would cost stupid amounts. all the mounts are diffrent robin even though it shares some small block caratorstics, it would be a cunt to fit in a b, not so bad in a C but still a pain

The mounts may well be different, but the block isn't.
As for an ECU, use aftermarket stuff, problem solved.

the problem with the ecu is that it is linked to everything. the car has its own, backed by the engines, all working together getting managment made would cost far too much, you would be better either getting a z or c let 2.0 at least the latre fits a corsa, the Z is a bit harder but not mutch, the mounts on the Z are pretty much the same as as corsa C mounts

Yeah, but if you use aftermarket management, the engine will run without any of that crappy multiplex wiring bollocks.
All you need is an ECU and a loom, it's the same as any other engine, only the ECU is complicated, the engine itself uses the same sort of sensors as a C20XE, X16XE, whatever.
It really is simple, you're only talking about a grand

Not only that, but you'd also have a 220bhp engine, not a 190bhp one, because you'd be stupid not to "remap" it when you're doing the new map on the management
