quinn just rang me up saying that i was no longer able to be insured with them on the two litre (even though ive been insured 2 months on it ) due to an underwriters error.

Im still covered for a 'short period' till i find another insurer.

Any companies good for conversions?

cheers

They did the exact same thing to me.

Edit: I didn't bother at the time, but if i was you i would ask them for the phone recording as they were in the wrong and its their problem. They don't go to other companies, they insure themselves and themselves only (here in NI anyway) so thats a big fat lie is it not?

Tell them you'll take it up with the insurance ombudsman if they are unco-operative.

There was a bit in our local paper about 3 weeks ago saying this, only the lad was only driving a 1.2 punto and they suddenly said he couldn't be insured.

this doesnt sound right at all. they should not have insured you in the first place.

i would follow what vx.racing says and you call the shots asking for a phone recording, and contact the insurance onbudsmen.

Wouldnt it change? because im sick of rining up and wouldnt mind getting some online quotes

edit - and its so annoying i can get insured on a cavvy gsi for 1700 a year but i still cant get insured on a nova with cav sri 16v engine in it Only got the one quote so far for 2800!!!!!

i dont care

id rathr have a mission and be able to keep and maintain a cracking valver than be unfulfilled with a 1.6 (even though i'd spend easy 2k plus on bods and stuff to get it running like 150bhp)

19 in march so i can take out a policy, then cancel it, get money back and find a quote for around a grand when 19
