long story short, im due up in court 1st november for accidentally falling through a shop window while very drunk, trying to do me for malicios vandilism etc. police took statement off me and recorded me at being 21 units of alcohol etc. it was a pure accident as i stumbled against the window and it jus shattered, got up and ran about 10mtrs from window but stopped as seen police and they came cuffed me and put me in cells for the night , anyways got home from work at 11pm there with a message to fone my lawyer as im now due in court at 10am tomorrow morning. kinda bricking it now dunno what i could be hit with etc, fine maybe? oh well thought id let u know

Can't see them throwing you behind bars for that. Even more so because of the current crisis which the prison system is having due to over crowding.

you'll get a fine, some kid who was up before us had done similar when I was up with my mate for drink driving, he got £300 fine & told to behave!

lawyer told me i might get away with it all, due to bein arrested, statement taken from me in that state and the fact it was an accident and the property doesnt have insurance so there tryin to claim from me for breaking it

i would claim against the shop for injuries you sustained lol im sure the glass should have to be safety galss and it be reinforeced, what if the shop had an upstairs and you were shopping and fell over and hit the window and fell, would be different story then

Well that is their fault for not having insurance, not yours.

You were stupid to fall through, but we all doing silly things when rat assed. Sat it doesn't condone your behaviour, but it wasn't intentional and was a simple trip, and your still confused how the entire window fell through...

Happened to me and my brother when drunk, we went through Building society front door...Ended up inside, you think it would have been tuffened glass

ANyway we just walked away and police caught up with us as we were both dripping with blood, i had cuts on arms and bro have cut 1/2" away from his heart

Took us to station for statements then sent to hospital but we got off with it as Building society did not press charges or even make us pay for damage...

I was lying like a fucker to the police too about getting jumped and thrown through the door when my bro was in next room telling the truth

I think you will just get a fine and pay for damage..

case deffered to 1st november lol, allegedly theres 2 police witnesses saying they saw me willfully break the window, but they were tending to an altrication at a near by pub and reacted to the glass shattering to come 2 me. i have witnesses to me physically falling against the window so god knows what will happen

trust me im not the kinda guy to do anything bad, went through whole primary and academic without a detention or anything, never been cautioned arrested or anything up until this time
