The guys who come over with me from work at lunch time think im weird because i wear a vest :/ lol im a different person in the gym apparently to (which is kind of true) i go all angry/pysched as i have about 50mins to do my weights, no time to stand around and talk like 80% of the idiots in there!

Also the sweat suits you can get (or just wear black bin bags) then go running, i done it once and never again, thought i was going to pass out my body temp went so high. Yeh they train like that so they can drop the weight quick for weigh in, then when they carb back up and retain bit more water there weight will go back up after weigh in.
I've worn shoes before when i went across for my session, i forgot my trainers and didnt want to miss it if you miss a session the chance of missing the next is so much higher so i went in my shoes

you sweat more, so your really dehydrated, but most will stay dehydrated until weigh in, once you drink etc back again it will come back like i said

yeh, its only usually a pound or so out so they sometimes get like an hour to burn that pound off, so will go for a shit, piss, run for 45min or so wearing a sweat suit to get that last lb down

yeah they are not doing it to actually lose fat, just get rid of water weight and fast down.
they only need to drop there weight for the weigh in, after the weigh in they eat high carbs and rehydrate to get back up to fighting wait.
so yeah your mate is correct, sweating doesnt equal weight loss just water loss.

or hes a nob or a homeboy lol.
what annoys me even more is the big fat bastards who are in my gym all the time, typical 40 year old blokes who walk around like there the hulk even though there just fat and spend more time talking that out else, also look down on the people who aint a big fat basard and actually care about being a low body fat percent.
Im not talking about power lifters btw i have great respect for what they do, im just talking about the fat bastards who think there hard cos there big and fat.

its the big fat fuckers who think they have a powerlifters strength and physique, when they have nothing but a KFC eating mother fucker, one guy at my gym whose like it, covered in tattoos and think hes the dogs bollocks, when truth be told hes weak as fuck and can't lift nothing, spends all his time strutting (waddling) around lol
