I know the feeling

If you don't like it, sell up, no point in trying to make yourself like it.

scooby will kill you on running costs with you being young.

Corsa XE will be maintainence

Mini will be rotten

Loose loose situation either way

dont go by insurance groups, i got a quote on a scoob uk turbo 2000 (and import sti ra which was only 300 quid more to insure?) and a hell of a lot of other cars ranging from group 15 - 18, and scoob group 17 = upwards of £2500, integra type r group 18 i think = £1750, insurance is messed up

Get something exciting then John, if you dont want to buy something to modify that will go fast then look at something thats fast out of the box and stick with it.

Any car that is exciting normally costs more money running one way or another, can be oil, broken parts or fuel!

Get over it
