What happened to garage? Was it around 2000 when Luck and Neat were popular. I remember there being an Ayia Napa Ministry of sound CD that year and it was quality. Since then, nothing that I can remember.

craig david killed it, then the other twats like so-solid made some money from it...basiaclly went all commersial.

there has allways been an underground scene, you need to be in it to hear it now the like's of myspace is hear the producers from back in the day are comming out and making some decent traks such as sunship and paleface

tbh john, from what a gather most the new and decent traks are being made by northan line records and there group or producers from all around the north mostly the sheffield area

sheffield is definelty the place, alot of the union night theres are funky house, then garage and D&R really good scene up there, we have nothin in liverpool at all D&B wise or garage me and me mate hav often said if we come into money we would love to open a small undergound club

any names of the producers/djs to look out for?

i use 2SG for listening/downloading free mix cd's from the forum.
there are some great dj's and producers that put up promo sets etc.

whoever says up north is where garage is, is talking rubbish! up there its all about bassline... im not dissing it, i like bassline. but its not the traditional sound of ukg. loads of mixes to be found for free @ http://www.2sgforum.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=70
