I voted the golf on looks, not sure what performance is like from either of them. Both very nice cars though

I dont like the mk4 golfs, its mk1, 2 or 5 for me, so going for the Fabia I believe Steve has a Fabia (in his avatar pic) so talk to him about power etc

you'd get a better car for the money in the fabia, for the same price the golf will be older with more miles.
i prefer the looks of the fabia, its less common also, but its up to you.
one thing, the fabias always look a lot better in real life then the pics for some reason.
take both out for a drive, a remapped fabia is actually quite quick

Take them both out and see what you like better, driving position, dash, equipment etc
Personally I'd say the golf

I'd say the Fabia. Looks better than the Golf I think and handles better too. Even the 1.4 tdi was fun to drive

I looked at a Fabia and Golf. Both really nice cars but decided to go new again I've git a habit of breaking cars
I'd go for the Golf though, it's a little quicker and looks so much nicer imo.

its not really any quicker, the extra power it has is taken up by its weight, both should be pretty equal on the road

Colin mate from experience....
The Golf.A lot more of a car IMO.
Steve's right about the Fabia looking better in pics and i did like mine.
BUT my mate's got the 150 golf and i prefered it.Feels a lot better built and more solid + comfortable and quicker than my VRS was.
Yeah you COULD tune the VRS but why bother when you can have the golf in the first place and not worry about your car's transmission chewing up or the turbo going.
Drive both and have a good think Golf looks a lot better too!!!
