i bought some beer from the supermarket (sainburys) to be precise and the lass asked me for ID she was fit so i didnt grumble, i gave it to her and she sed your only 18 i thought you were older than that, thought you were about my age, about 20. (i also look older than i am) but the point of the story is why ask me for idea if she thought i was twenty, they might aswell change the drinking age to 21 cos if you look under 21 they wont serve you.
also she did sound diaspointed when she realised i was only 18

I was in Tesco the other week, picked up a few beers and took them to the till. Got ID'd, thought fair enough, iim 22, gave her my licence, then asked to see my brothers ID who was with me
Asked her why she needed to see it as I was the one buying the beer and she said if I was buying beer everyone who was with me had to prove they were over 18 for her to be allowed to sell it to me. My brother didnt have any ID, and is only 18 so they wouldn't sell me it.
Kicked of a bit of a fuss, and got the manager but he told me the same thing

that's where it becomes really unfair. if you're buying alcohol and you have your kids with you (say about 5-10 years old) then it doesn't matter.. pathetic really. i had to i.d. groups of people and they didn't like it when they didn't all have i.d. so i couldn't serve it to them.
i got i.d'ed for fags a little while back in the brewery sainsbury's, laughed at the women who said you had to be 18 to buy fags now. does she think i'm an idiot ah well, soon be like that.

Exactly.
Also, what the fuck has it got to do with Tescos what I do with my beer. If I want to give it to 16 year old to go up the local park and get pissed surley thats for me to decide, as i'd be the one getting done by the Police if they found out.
