A mate reckons that if you breed a ped bullmastiff with a ped english bull terrier you get a pit bull terrier. Is this true, because I think he's talking out of his ar5e!

Three different breeds of dogs there so it's absolutely impossible to create a pit bull terrier from a bullmastiff and an english bull terrier No doubt you can breed the two together but you will end up with a mongrel crossbreed type.

you can cross poodles with labradors and have a labradoodle

no it is not true it would be a cross-breed u can only get a pitbull if u breed a male pitbull with a female pitbull

A pitbull is a cross between dogs anyhow, the pedigree is from the two dogs. Just like a labradoodle is now recognised as a pedigree, my mate has an american pit which he will let breed for £££
