At the minute i have a pipercross viper induction, but i was wondering which is better. The pipercorss or a drilled airbox with a uprated panel filter?

id go with panel filter, in a std box with the restriction pipe removed

Tbh I would just keep the Viper, it isn't going to make any noticeable difference.

i thought an enclosed system made more power but hardly noticeable on the road. aren't vipers suppost to give a better mid range?

there will be no difference between the viper and a airbox with panel filter.

the airbox will sound better as the vipers are quite nuless you take the intake pipe off.

i had a viper on my old corsa, didnt sound as loud as when i had a drilled aibox but i only bought it coz it was £30. It did have a nice note to it though.

i had a piperx panel, sounded good.

I have heard the Raid HP filters are very good aswell, they have a 3 layer foam filter

what about BMC filters? i've heard that some filters can make the car sound raspy and some deeps, is this true? if so what would be a good filter that would give a new gain at low range and a nice deep sound

big holes = deep

small holes = raspy
