Sadly, I think it will

But it's also an optional extra from standard, so it might not. Say it's a tailpipe, rather than whole rear exhaust.

My insurance company was rubbish on mods, but allowed my alloys, because I told them they were Vauxhall, which, kind of, they are

thats the thing, its an additional extra, and only a rear box that fits the whole range...it doesnt even make a noise which imo is so im thinking its more a cosmetic change rather than a performance ?

Kiss.

Stavs - Lily's next door neighbour used to have a 1.2 or 1.4 Corsa C with the triangular double tailpipe. That used to make a better noise than standard!

of course they will tell you that because they want your money.

Technically they are not. They are for any GM car, and aren't only for GM. There is a thread about it somewhere.

In the Irmscher Corsa C brochure, the rounded pipe is classed as a 'Sport rear silencer' and the split oval is 'Rear silencer' if that helps Stavs.

But you could claim you thought it was standard, after all, it's a 1.8 SRi. And an Irmy one is a bit different to Piper, Magnex etc etc.

well spoke to my insurance earlier, and said "my backbox on my corsa is rusty ? vauxhall only have a twin tail-pipe version in stock, mine was a single tailpipe and they asked me to call and see if that was ok ?"

the ansew was quite simple "that should be fine sir, as long as you are not moding or altering from manufactors spec"

shit that does not help...i said i would call back and see if it was classed at vauxhall as a md ?
