Finally got rid of the Polo, was a good day to day car but really missed the speed of the A3. Missus needed a diesel car for work as she has started doing 60 miles a day so there was really only one car that came to mind. When we ordered it, it was the last available ex demo in the country as all others were reserved by other dealers. We wanted the yellow one but got a red one, which i am really happy with. 2k miles on the clock and got a very good deal on it. First opinions are that it is a very nice car to be in, handles well and is very quick mid range, on par with what the A3 was like. Thinking about getting it remapped soon although might have to wait til after the wedding.

Opinions welcome

even got my 4 year old nieces approval

okay. i was not disputing that. was just saying dunno why people seem to rave about the speed when the 0-60 times are less than impressive?

Does the speed of a car totally depend on 0-60.

Have you driven one, 0-60 is shit, as there are no revs so 3 gear changes in that time, and a small amunt of lag, on the motorway and in gear times these car's are brillaint

The one I thrashed from the dealer up the road was great and in Red like yours Stu.

As we pulled out of the dealer he started racing a brand new CTR and did it comming off the roundabout....his word were...

"I let the car do the talking"

yes... if you are a chav or love v-tec yo

tbh i prefer having a car that is good on the motorways at higher speeds that picks up well even when just cruising along, not wheel spinning away from traffic lights whilst pretending your car has mad torque steer.

He was in all honesty as he let me have a 45 min test drive and didnt mind me raggin it to fuck.

Most dealers I go to dont belive I have the money to buy a car unless I take the Astra with me so was nice to be taken seriously for once.

Vauxhall are cunts I had to lie and say I was 25 to get a test drive in the Corsa VXR, and the guy was so stupid after photcopying my driving licence etc etc he didnt even check.
