I've 10k tops to spend and looking around i can get one of these with 25,000 - 30,000 miles on the clock in diesel.
Am i going to have any problems with one of these if i get one with a good service history? Bear in mind i do 2,000 miles a month easily and wanna keep one for at least 2 years.
Been looking a new Clio's this morning but they are asking SILLY money for what they are!

if your just looking for Big BHP,then your looking for he wrong car,
IMO you should have a ower BHP car to save you racing things and bringing your fuel consumption down.
A VW is a good alround car at the minute, they are knocking out some good examples as are skoda and SEAT
what about an Leon?

Don't like SEAT.
Love the Golf and A3 though.
As you say, i need to bring down the fuel consumption a touch. But then i don't wanna be spending 2 - 3 hours a day sitting in a car i hate.

makes me laugh when people say things like, dont like skodas, dont liek seat etc, but are perfectly willing to buy an audi or VW which is as good as the same car they are saying they dont like

I know all these engines can go on for ever bla bla bla but I couldn't bring myself to buy a car with 100k miles.
I wouldn't buy one with half that.

Ive had a couple German motors with well over 100k on them, the shells always gave up before the engine!!
I know what you mean though if I was parting with £10k's id want a low mileage one!!

Its not that funny or hard to understand really its nothing to do with the cars sharing common parts & reliability. I cant think of any Seat or Skoda that offers what VW or Audi do on the looks dept.
Also id have a Fab VRS...................but for some reason they never made a 3 door!! Surely thats a mistake for them!!?

what equivalent audi looks better than an lcr for example?
an S3 could be argued to be the equivalent, and yes it too is nice, but i cant see what looks better about an S3 than an LCR
but seriously colin, some people wont own a skoda, just because its a skoda, with nothing to do with looks
