Currently unhappy where I work and really cannot see myself being there for another two years (two years being when I start my driving instructor course)

Been looking around for driving jobs but cant seem to find any going that you don't have to be 21/25+ for.

Found out that I can drive buses for stagecoach, But before I even apply, Wondered if anybody from here has ever done something similar and what money is like (and does it get extremely boring, extremely quickly just sitting there doing the same route over and over?)

Cheers

I saw a courier job advertised in the paper the other day, use your own car for local deliveries. Could be alright?

Yeah, Sounds a fairly good idea tbh. Just want something which will pay the bills. Had my heart set on being a driving instructor since I was about 16.. Had always appealed to me. Just need something to pass the time, Would love to do a driving job

Edit: Currently a customer care manager, But its dire and the money is wank

If you do delivery driving for courier/take-aways in your car, your insurance will most probably be void

my dad was high up in the ambulance service of northern ireland and took early retirement at 50, messed about for a few years and then decided to get a handy job.

took a bus driving job for the education board, 7/8 quid per hour, works about 4/5 hours a day and paid for 40 hour week, gd holidays and government job so obviously paid sick days etc. def a gd value for money job.

def will consider ti myself after a few years rather than busting my balls in a bodyshop here for ten per hour

Also, being a bus driver, consider early mornings, late evening, throughout the week AND Saturdays and Sundays. May be bank holidays. Naaa thanks.

HGV?

Our drivers here start on 24k, we supply to 250+ plants so not on the same runs all the time

Early starts and occasional nights out but they get paid £40 to spend a night in their cabs (which are brand new btw so comfortable!)

Day drivers usually work 6 - 2 as well
