iv got one and it annoys the fook out of me. (only got a basic one afaik it came with the car cost about 300) but two main problems i have with it are: if you turn into onto valet mode occasionally the hazards come on and you have to take it off lock the car unlock it and stick it back in valet mode :@. and the other problem is a bit of wind sets it off its sooo pissin sensitive but at 3 in the morning when it gets set off by a milk float driving past can get a tad annoying. [/rant]
apart from that they are good lol.

bin to my local one once well when i say local about 30miles away. and paid £90 to have the hazard light problem 'fixed' and well it still has the same problem but the only thing is i didnt check it till about 2 months later as i didnt need to turn it off. so wont be going back again. and it convieniantly didnt come back with any paper work. so tbh i think they just screwed me over. oh well live and learn (im in a moaning mood tonight lol could you tell? )

You cant start the car while its in gear. You need to "set" it to go into auto start mode.
You tap 2 buttons on the fob an then lock the car.

I know someone that must have had a pretty basic auto start on their car. Reverse gear, lampost. You can guess the rest.

Right, thought the first explantion would do
When you park up, you make sure your car is out of gear, handbrake on etc. Then you press the star button twice, then the little clifford button. This sets the autostart. You can only start the car AFTER you have set it so you will of checked that the car is out of gear etc

but what if someone didn't check and still pressed the buttons? surely it would then start and move

There is no possible way that the car will move, the car needs to be put in safe mode before activating the alarm.

Yeah, but to press the buttons to set it and forget to check means you'd be a bit of a drongo
