Whats the best form of exersise to burn off some excess fat??
I want to lose some beefyness from my stomach (beer gut), lower back (love handles) & chest (man boobs) but cant really be doing with a gym! Im not really wanting muscles, my arms & shoulders etc are quite decent size im happy with.
I already eat quite healthy, could/will cut out the unhealthy snacks & junk food!!
Whats most effective in terms of free excersise (cycle, walk, jog, swim, do free weights) to get results with minimal effort if possible??
Also how often & for how long should I be doing something.

Running/Jogging.
Followed by swimming, which is also less stressful for your joints.

I would personally suggest rowing, more of an all round cardio workout, and less stressful on your joints than jogging. Cycling is also good for this.

What a crock of shit, i get really angry when people who know nothing give people useless information.
You cannot do sit ups and get rid of the fat on your stomach... its an all round body loss. Most people find that the first place they put fat on is the last place they lose it. For women its usually Boobs/Legs/Arse and pretty much the same for most men. I personally put fat on the stomach first and like i said its the last and hardest place i have to burn it off from.
Seeing as you said you seem to dont really care about muscles/bulking up much Colin the best way to do it is to eat clean healthy foods and do cardio 4/5 times a week. It takes 3500 calories burnt to burn 1lb of fat, so if you want to lose 1lb a week then you need to burn off 3500 calories a week, 2lb = 700 etc etc.
Do cardio and do it at 65% of your max HR. 220-age = max HR. For me i'm 21, 22 next week my HR i work out to for cardio is around 120-35.
Cardio exercises don't really matter but depends on your joints etc, i personally can't run much because i have a bad knee, so i use X-trainer and rowing/swimming. I do my cardio every morning in a fasted state (before eating breakfast). Although it doesn't really matter when you do it, as long as you do it!
Don't need to join a gym neccesarily. Go running or by a bike and ride, or go to local pool and swim! Imo i would join a gym anyway and start doin some weights, dont need to bulk up but tone up and the more muscle/lean muscle mass you have the faster your metabolism = burns fat quicker.
Also eat 5/6 a day every 3hours if possible. Doesn't have to be massive portions but nice clean healthy food and thats it.
I'm not going into detail as
a) its to much information
b) you need to learn by yourself
