Haha, did you actually email them? I bet they will send you a free box of them, or give you vouchers for money off kellogs products, companies always do this

They'll do the same as Hyundai did when I complained about their misleading advert. Nothing.

They're in three dimensions so they're technically cuboids not rectangles.

The old Hyundai ad said that their warranty was for 5 years, or 1825 days.

I e-mailed them to explain that 5 years is always at least 1826 days, if not 1827. (yes, I was bored)

They added me to their mailing list and that was it

I'd imagine Kellogg's doing the same, instead of sending freebies out, although some free Rice Krispie squares are cheaper than a car

Are they cuboids if they're square from above? I can't remember now, it's been too long since I did school stuff

Robin - five years is 1825 days.

Five consecutive years in succession would be more, but five times the multiple of one single one would not include the leap.

I'm aware they would appear in succession, but the maths doesn't take that in to account.

For the record, misleading adverts are occasionally acted upon. The Astra convertible one in which the guy on the train shuts his roof when it started to rain is complete fantasy - the button wouldn't work from that far away and even then it would need pressing for the entire movement of the roof. After complaints, it was withdrawn.

Yes, they only become the special case cube when all faces are square and therefore all equal squares.

That's a good point, but they didn't even bother fobbing me off with that, just didn't reply and now I'm getting monthly offers on cheaper Hyundais with no way to get off the list

Dear Mr Poole

Thanks for getting in touch.

The reason we call them "squares" comes from the home baked original recipe and the way they are prepared. In the United States of America, people have been making Rice Krispie Squares at home for generations. As with most home baked cake-type recipes, people tend to cut the cake slab into squares before serving. Hence the idea for the name.

Kind regards
