4. Do you enjoy it? Yes and no! I do jobs there that are against brand standards so it pisses me off.

2. Did you train to get in your current job? - No although trained within the job.

my job was created when our global contract with our 3rd party IT company was ended after a 10 year deal and gave to another company to cut costs....but this company only do 75% our IT needs now and the other 25% are now insourced (this is where I cma into it)
past 18 months have been working wit hthe new company and dealing with the other 3rd party companies we now have to deal with ourselves. becuase the old company left us nothing we have had to start from scratch with a lot of procedures - this has been very hard
its a chemical site IT network too so 24/7 opperations and VERY imprtant that everything is done safely
2. Did you train to get in your current job?
job was offered to me as I worked there as a studend for a year....was a case of I knew the basics and they liked me and knew I would be good for the job
although im a sort of IT manager I do not do the IT-like stuff, I just make sure it gets done by the right people (dozen servers, 400 PCs, 500 phones etc etc)
3. Do you wish to progress through your current company, or do you want out?
have already progressed and had a LOt more responsibilty gave to me - love it
still make a lot of money myself buying/selling bits and bobs
4. Do you enjoy it?
yes - becuase no 2 days are the same and its a hell of a lot of work and responsibility to do
if things calm down at some point I will get bored

Stock Controller at a Warehouse. Started as a temp on the warehouse floor, and worked my way up.
2. Did you train to get in your current job?
Training came with the job. Started as a Unior.
3. Do you wish to progress through your current company, or do you want out?
Not sure yet, I like my job but I know I could get more money and opportunities elsewhere.
4. Do you enjoy it?
Yeah pretty much.

1. Heavy plant operator within logistics, Dad and brother work there and got me a application but had to apply and pass the various tests like everyone/anyone else.
2. Yes, ones specific to the jobs I have done whilst there
3. Wouldn't mind but as yet undecided
4. Yep, done worse jobs and longer hours for a lot lot less money

yeah would like to progress through the company and become skilled at the trade

Yeah, its hard work but a good job, loads of variety from bricklaying, groundwork, carpentry to planting & garden maintenance

1.what do you do and how did you get into it? Work for vocalink dealing with faster payments that will be live in the future, ie quicker payments via net etc, my mate got me into it
2. Did you train to get in your current job? all i have ever donefrom college is customer care service desk kid of things so that was my training
3. Do you wish to progress through your current company, or do you want out? i hope to move inwrads n upwards as there are plenty of oppertunities
4. Do you enjoy it? 12hr shifts 4 on 4 off, not much work to do get seriously bored but can surf netr and watch tv so i can live with it for now lol

Network Engineer for financial networks, I passed my CV onto a friend who worked in the City when I left college.

Self taught how to use a computer and be internet savvy, rest was on the job.

Progress, got shares etc.

most of the time.

No.

I am the group used car admin supervisor for a worldwide group of car dealers.
Agency i registered with aaaages ago randomly contacted me as they thought i had the relevant experience to do the job - rare thing doing the job i do.
2. Did you train to get in your current job?
Yup did lots of training at Vauxhall and toyota a bit for Land rover, bentley and jag. But my previous work didnt have an admin department so i had to set the department up, get the systems in place blah blah blah and having done that at 21 meant i could do this job at 24
3. Do you wish to progress through your current company, or do you want out?
Yup i would like to, but being a girl they probably wouldnt have me do the job i want to do. So i guess it would be leaving the company when ive finally had enough.
4. Do you enjoy it?
Yup, only because i love a good argument and the team i look after are an awesome bunch of people and i love them all dearly!
Although having been here for a while im starting to get bored

Lecturer in a college. My dad worked there and there was some networking work needed doing, which I did. While I was there I was asked back to do a bit of teaching. Was part time whilst still at uni. A full time post came up in 2001, which I went for.
2. Did you train to get in your current job?
Was already doing a degree and was put on a teaching qual through work.
3. Do you wish to progress through your current company, or do you want out?
There is progression in there but not a massive amount. Would like to go higher but not sure what the potential to do so is currently. If something else came up I would probably have a go, but I'm not about to walk out, it's not a bad number.
4. Do you enjoy it
Sometimes very much so, sometimes absolutely not. Depends very much on what happens and mostly whether I'm teaching or dealing with all the other stuff that goes with it.

1. Deputy head gardener, started as a tree surgion from school, left there as i got too stonned and they clocked. got a job working for the council doing the gardens in the town centre of st albans, moved up on to my current job at a private school
2. i was trained to use chainsaws,chippers,stump grinders,climb tree's and do arail recue,fell tree's,ruduce,thin and top,ropeing down etc etc...all by the first firm i worked for. second firm sent me on a first aid course, my current firm sent me on a royal horticulture course which is equal to a gnvq level 2.
3. im staying put atm as they are sending me on another course doin managment within hort and the country side, so im going to learn about presivation and wildlife. get that finished and either go to a new job or if they offer me the right money i will stay and manage the school and staff
4. would'nt change for the world...

4. Do you enjoy it? i enjoy it yea, not as much as i used to but same for most people starting a job i think, work with some top lads though so its a laff and we just get on with it

Process Operations Engineer running a Crude Distiller at Shell Stanlow Oil Refinery, Wanted to follow in my family's foot steps and am now the 3rd generation to work there.
2. Did you train to get in your current job?
Left school at 16 and trained for 3 1/2 Years go get a NVQ level 3 in Petrolchemical Engineering and Btec National Certificate, then had to complete 12 months probation.
3. Do you wish to progress through your current company, or do you want out?
Yes, intend to climb the ladder like the rest of my family did.
4. Do you enjoy it?
Love It, Best choice i have ever made.
