Fun little story for you

Stupidly parked my car in a little back ally in Warwick so I could go into the bank to get my deposit for my flat. I was gone for about 2 mins and when I got back I found a clamp on my car So I set about taking it off, it was only chained to the trackrod end so up the car went on the jack, off came the wheel, then I un-did the ball joint and popped the clamp off. It was off in about 5 mins

I put the car back together and was just winding the car back down onto the floor when this man got out of a van and put the bloody thing on the other wheel I also o nly had 5 mins before he was going to tow the car away so I was basically obliged to pay him the £95 to take the clamp off

Moral of the story is:

a) don't park out the back of other shops
b) when you get the clamp off lock it in your car

Was so lucky I had my deposit because I don't have that sort of cash in my bank account at the moment...

Yea, or just park on the double yellow lines because all you get is a ticket from the non-existant traffic wardens....

So do I at home, never seen a Polish guy work so quick in his life. Though he did mistake my Fiat for a Peugot so his writing skills weren't up to much

I would have struggled with the guy & not let him fit it

Stand infront of your wheel he cant move you

Or just lamp him over the head with your wheel brace & pop him in the boot

very true, if you remove the clamp without damaging it its your legal right to do so. a vehicle can only be clamped once for one offence, if you remove the clamp legally you do not have to pay a removal fee.

I tried standing in his way, but apparently him pushing me out of the way is me assaulting him

I wanted to smack the fucker so hard it was unbelieveable. I never want to fight, but he was being a bit of a dick and I needed to get back to work. If I had time I would have spent the whole day there taking off clamps and putting them in my boot to give to the Police

No because they are a private company, unfortunately he was licenced so he was operating legally. But then I was within my rights to remove the clamp. I was worried about my car falling off the scisor jack though because that would cause more than £95 worth of damage....

There is a vectra outside at aork that's clamped at the moment. I figured that you could let the tyre down and drive the car off the clamp
