Theres a Corsa I want to go buy this week but theres a couple of probs
1. No tax or MOT. Has MOT failure and I am satisfied its all easy fixes, but obviously I can't drive it back...
2. ...4 hours! Surely asking for trouble!?
3. Only option seems to be a trailor, but I cant see my GSI pulling it!
Ideas?

1. Just drive it back, say you are on the way to the MOT station. Tax, well, I dont know.
2. Round trip? Probaly, yes.
3. You will blow the clutch on the GSI, even on an A-frame you are likely to do the clutch. Get a shot of something derv.

It's not a bargain after losing your license or knackering your car trying to tow it.

Hmmm didnt think the GSI would cut it lol. If it was an hour or two away I would probably risk it but surely cant go 4 hours or so without being spotted/flashed etc?

Exactly. I cant see a logical solution at the moment, hoping there was a brught spark out there If I can't I can't, would be nice to have a project though.

If its a really good bargain, then find a mate with a van, and find a friendly person with a car trailer.

Join the AA, tell them you've broke down & persuade them to take you home on a flatbed
note ^ this may not work!

Don't forget, that if you passed your test after March 2001, you can't tow more than 750kg, without sitting an extra test.

Which, being 20, will be the case.

Lol @ you guys!
The car failed the MOT on:
1. Fan won't kick in
2. Passenger rear wheel bearing (although seller has a new one)
3. Handbrake needs linking up.
How much on top of the MOT price would I be looking at paying? Just roughly?
