Z1 doors were half height and folded into the side of the car (the stupidly high protection bars/sideskirts). This is slightly different, they've built a pan underneath the car and the doors (full height doors) slide into the pan. I don't think you loose any head room inside, but you loose road clearance. Plus, i don't think there is enough space, width-wise, in the pan to fit two doors lying horizontal - hence why the drivers side hasn't be done.
Still it's a brilliant design, shame that the engineer hasn't continued it....
