An off-duty doctor is walking by side of a canal when he sees a man drowning in the murky water. The man keeps going under and is obviously taking in a lot of water. The doctor reaches out and manages to get a hold on the bloke and drags his upper body out of the canal, then turns him on his front, sits astride the body and starts pumping the water out. There are gallons of shitty water spewing out of his mouth, plus tin cans, weeds, used condoms and loads of other crap.

Suddenly a second man turns up. "You dont want to do that mate" he says. "Listen" says the doctor, "I'm a doctor. Dont tell me how to do my job". "Well, i'm an engineer" says the second bloke. "and if you dont take that blokes arse out the canal you are going to pump it dry"
