Policemen with guns where searching our cars and stuff

Was a bit eeire to say the least

After showing my pass they still checked the boot

My mate drove through without stopping I told her she was lucky they didnt shoot her tyres out

It's all good i'd much rather this increased vigilance than letting the lunatics run the asylum. The police presence and the sense of duty their is just now is quite impressive.

I'm not a fan of all this tbh.

I know these terrorists aren't the brightest sparks but they'd have to take stupidity to a whole new level to attempt to do anything again until this has died down.

Imagine trying to do it to glasgow again now.

They'd be bottled before they got round the roundabout after the motorway.

Then we'd be a "Police State" and everyone would be moaning that they were being inconvinienced in their day to day lives and don't the Police have anything better to do?

For my place, we make military weapons etc, so any activities like this security is tightened throughout the facilty incase of terrorists or activists etc.

i work in norwich and we are on amber alert too

things have gone to a whole new level today

our normal carpark entrance has been closed as requested by the police they no longer want us to go by the airport terminal so now we have to take a detour about 2 miles to come in some back with through a gate they have made in the fence and wait for it

THEY HAVE EVEN TARMAC THE GRASS AND DROPPED THE KERB so we can get access

sniffer dogs were searching cars today and security searching brief cases

im starting to feel like a criminal rather than at risk

but it is abit overkill i think

its not roadworks they have made a new entrance to our carpark which involved tarmacing some grass to drive across from the fence and dropped the kerb so we can get down into the carpark

but yes imo overkill
