i have started using it on my corsa sport 1.4 16v

just wondered wat everyone thinks of it??

cant really tell the difference unless you have a high powered turbo car

Aye, waste of money to be honest.

Unless it has always used it, theres no point.

Used to work in a Shell garage (now changed to gulf). And the V Power only has a higher octane level of 1 or 2 (which is hardly noticeable)

Usual unleaded has a level of "82 or 83" and all this Super unleaded / V power stuff has a level of around "84/85"

I use it but I always have since I owned the car so duno if it makes a difference.

my car loves it but like stated only works on cars that have adjustible knock sensors

I think v power is 99ron optimax used to be 98ron.

You no you drive an evo when your on first name terms with the shell garage attendent

mine ran like shit on normal. Vpower seemed smoother, idles better and got more mpg strangly

unleaded is octane 95 or 97 if super.

vpower is 99, optimax used to be 98

use it all the time in my corsa ... use coal/cow poo/chip fat and all sorts in the fiesta

Worth running on a LET then?

Might try some for a month or so, see if it makes any difference

use it on an LET yes

higher octane helps prevent det & also runs cooler than lower octane fuel

tesco is 99 though is it not, and 98.8 here

generally bigger engines = bigger response to it.

i put some in my nova and it did feel healthier. didnt exactly pull more. more confident in higher revs though.

i noticed a difference between 98 ron and regular when the engine was running standard boost

i've always ran optimax in the gsi, never anything else...

when i had the head off, the inside was all nice & clean

it just seemed to give you a bigger kick when it came on boost .. more responsive when you booted it .. put normal fuel in after and it seemed like it wasnt trying if you know what i mean

Only makes a difference if your cars mapped to it or as people say has a knock sensor, if the car detects low levels of knock then it will advance the ignition timing, giving you more power! The RON rating is just to fuels resistance to detonation.

Edit to say its worth using on turbo cars that dont have a knock sensor purely for safety reasons!

i tried some when i had a standard xe in mine and it didnt do nob all .. but i really did notice a difference even on a standard let

i started using last year found a noticeable improvement in my car at much more miles to a full tank

Ive found it to make my car pull harder up the rev range compared to say asda petrol probley because asda petrol is just wank though
