..is working in Fallujah and puts two insurgents on their arse, one with 15 rounds to the chest and another with two rounds to the head and gets paid 100k a year for the pleasure.

My mate is back from Iraq, had a close call on the way to Oman on his journey home, going down the main road out of Iraq in armoured jeeps and they notice a black sedan on top of a bridge looks suspicious but they keep on going rather than stopping, 2 seconds later roadside bomb goes off which was home made out of a 120mm shell, rips apart the front jeep lucky no one injured, they grab the gear out of the damaged jeep and keep on going after throwing thermite grenades into the damaged jeep to stop the locals steeling anything then carry on there way.

My job is crap.

The insurgent with 15 rounds in him was still moving, which confirms what people say about the 5.56mm round, its just not powerful enough.

I don't tend to get into the political side of things in regards to WW2, I prefer the later war stuff. Although good WW2 books are "Berlin" & "Stalinggrad" by Antony Beever, superb in depth & detailed descriptions of the battles as they happened.

The SS were hitler's 'personal footsoldiers' so to speak. weren't they, please forgive my innacurate GCSE history knowledge

Everything has risk, just a case of weighing up the salary and what you consider the risk to be. For some 20k is enouugh to run the risk of a pile up driving to work in the pissing rain every day. For others its 100k to dodge road side bombs!!

He done two tours of Iraq in the army previously to that including the front line invasion as he was attached the the seventh armoured division.

He knows what hes doing, those two insurgents are the first two people he has shot. Imagine that, I don't think you can TBH.

His convoy were driving along a route when they heard a vehicle being driven fast towards them, then saw Iraqi Police chasing it, as my mates convoy was in the insurgents way the insurgents jumped out of the blue van they were in with their AK's cocked and locked, my mates insticts took over and he fired and put them on their arse. Imagine it, my best mate has done that. He has had to see srinks and all sorts afterwards and do a test to see if its effected him mentally. Crazy.

my mates over there, also had a close call, him and his troops patrolling in some area the yanks declared safe. When they suddenly rained on by machine gun fire, his mate was hit in the leg so they all had to dive into the reeds on an adjacent lake, they had to wait in the water for 3 hours before the yanks came and rescued them/cleaned up, dodgy stuff
