On June 25, 2007, Benoit and his family were found dead in their home in Atlanta. It was first reported to fans of the WWE via WWE Mobile. There are no exact details are known about this death at this time. Through their website, World Wrestling Entertainment also released the following statement:
"World Wrestling Entertainment is deeply saddened to report that today Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their home. There are no further details at this time, other than the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities.
Tonight’s Raw on USA Network will serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family. WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family’s relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy."
PW Headlines stated that Benoit called in to WWE Sunday and said he would be unable to make it back as his family was ill and they were spitting up blood.
WWE cancelled the scheduled live Raw show scheduled for June 25, and will be airing a non-live tribute to Benoit in its place.

It's the same though when one of the stars die, one show to commemorate them, then back to business as usual after

"WAGA, a FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday."

Wrestling is the weirdest and and most seedy industry in the world, on the surface everyone thinks it's men in leotards faking that they've hurt themselves. In reality these guys are addicted to painkillers, live on the road 365 days a year and are basically like a travelling zoo.
There was absolutely no inclination Benoit was mentally unstable, he was a locker room leader just drafted to ecw to take the title and promote the brand yet he has the ability to kill his wife kid then take his own life
R.I.P anyway 1 of the most technically gifted wrestlers ever.

He was in New Japan, ECW and then WCW before jumping ship with the radicals to wwf with Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero as a result of backstage politics.
Can't believe him and Eddie are both dead now after Wrestlemania 20s ending
