I have been looking at buying a private number plate, but dnt want to get one wich will look tacky or forced! i would like my name, surname or initials in it, but cannot really find any good ones, that are within reason.

I have seen:

Y5 JCK
Y8 JCK

Name: Jack Mc

or have seen J40 KMC

would that lok terrible if i edited the 0 to look like a C??

wot private reg's does everyone else have and are you still happy with th eone you bought?

I'm guessing "Joe W" as in a first name and initial. Some private plates work well, some don't.

Colin put my new plates on the Mini on Monday.

J77DE J with a bolt place at the first 7 to make it more like an A - Jade J
Cost £250

I think J40K MC with a wee bolt in the 0 would look
How mucho is that one?

I'm looking to get myself a private plate too.

M88 APK

March 88 was my birthday and APK are my initials. £333.95 from RegTransfers.co.uk

Seem like a good price?

Anyone know how much would it cost to retain the cars original '56' plate.....I'd like to be able to put that back on when I change cars.....

go for it

I would never get a plate that matches the car either as it is useless once you change cars, always get one that means something to you......

So one last question........

What happens to the reg currently on the car? Does it just disappear?

And what happens when you sell the car and take the personalised plate off for the next car? I presume you get assigned one yes..........

Think I'm gonna go for it

eh no

95% of the time when you remove the personal plate it will go back to the old reg, thats not guarenteed though may get assigned a different one.
