Does anyone else do there part? or do you just not care?

now i'm no green peace fanboy, but i do what i can as i think global warming is a huge issue. Admittedly recycling isn't going to solve the issue, its a number of things. One being money hungry bush refrusing to take part.

Whats your opinions?

In my apartment I dont, as its too much hassle to carry a load of different bags down to the bin area and then put them all where they need to be. And its not like there is a load of room in apartments to have different bins for each thing to recycle.

At home though we recycle. Have a few bins outside for each type of thing so makes it very easy to put the stuff out.

We still need another proper bin though as with 5 adults and collection every 2 weeks its just not enough, but the council are wankers and wont give us one as we need 6 adults and tell us to recycle more...which if they bothered to come and look they would see is impossible!

Yes.

I turn off all switches, all lights etc when not needed..... And to cover the cost of a f-off TV.

That makes me laugh. All this energy stuff, but they are happy to still continue making the products that use a million volts per minute....

I had to call my council for more recycling bags. "we only deliver them quaterly"....

Nice, so while im going through a bag a week, you deliver them x4 times a year.... So how am i meant to recycle?

Recycling and such isn't made easy enough. I pay council tax, they should be making it as easy as possible for everyone. But they don't, so many people don't bother.

Its also commen sense. Turn a few lights off, a few switches off, and you use less power which = less power = less money going on the power bill.

they make it easy where my nan lives. Just give them a big wheelie bin which anything that is recyclable can go in, no need to seperate...everywhere should do that.

We have our new brown and grey bins now aswell as normal green ones

I recycle stuff in my apartment but it's a pain in the ass tbh, you can't even put the bag in the paper/glass/plastic/metal etc recycling bins so you have to empty it all out. I tend to not wash anything out though.

We get given baskets to put tins and glass in, and another to put paper in. Get picked up fortnightly, I always recycle. Doesn't take much effort does it?

Our bins are collected fortnightly. One recycline one Household.

Because of the two week gap we have to recycle more!

Only downside is what festers in the household bin after two weeks. Had to kill the maggots yesterday actually...

cosmo, i work for the council.

the "chip" is a barcode. it can be scanned to a particular address. that is it.

it doesn't do the shit that the papers say it does. eg weigh your waste etc.

it's not james bond shit ffs

It was our non-recyclable waste bin that had it in, not checked the other one yet actually.
