The actual cross member isnt too bad actaully, just the ends that are fucked.

Sat in a field for 2 years, didnt move once. The rest of the car into too bad actually, the floor is really really clean, wheel well is going, easy patch there though. Chassis legs are fine too, well, almost, going at the front, not too badly though, a wee patch would sort it.

I would be pretty positive thats due to a bad reapir.. Cant see how it would get that bad.
My bet is its had a cross member after an accident at some point and its rotted from bad preperation or lack of protection..
I dont believe for a second its ended up like that through age etc..

Biggest bastard it that whenever the whole thing collapsed, it burst the radiator, so fuck knows how long its been running with fuck all water 
It must of gone quite recently, as I have pics from not too long ago, and the rad was still in the right place, so fuck knows.

Thats what I think, as the crash bar is buckled in the middle, and theres overspray in about it, so i rekon some cunt has done a bodge job on it. If i end up keeping it, engine is coming out and the whole bay is being de-rusted, then a coat of waxoil or something.
