what sort of base price are you looking at to get a 1.6 in?
just wondering weather it would be cheaper for you to buy a 1.6 rather then convert

engine conversion would cross more to insure than a standard 1.6. purely for the fact that its a mod and one with the sole purpose of improving the performance of the car.

Mine was a 1.4 with a 1.6 conversion. It was insured for the same price as it would have been if it was a 1.6 from the factory.
