What is this exactly? Everyone here at work keeps logging on to it, I'm guessing it's a bit like MySpace etc.?
Also, can you tell who has looked at your profile on there? Might sign up with a fake profile and look at the profiles of people here at work!

I use it.
I would say 80% of the people I know use it regularly, it is nice to be able to see what they are up to.

Agreed. Facebook is a similiar site but it's more academic based, at first you needed an e-mail address from uni, and there were only certain uni's on. It's a bit more wide spread now though.

It was good, but now they've added on all these applications so it's ending up cluttered and messy like MySpace.
It used to be good because it was much stricter in terms of what you can put only, I still use it because you can't change your profile to be an absolute mess in HTML... but I predict with the way its going and now how under 16's can join it'll just turn shite. Shame tbh, it was one social site which wasn't plagued by chavs and attention seekers.

OK, but can you tell who's looked at your profile on there?
There are some badly fit chicks on there from work, I wanna see said pics without them knowing I was looking at their profiles!

Amen, noticed everyone of my friends joining and adding those applications, I haven't ever used Myspace because of how messy it is.

I use it, got in contact with loads of mates from primary school who i havent seen in 10+years! I think its a different kind of thing to myspace, myspace is more fun but facebook is a more real world useful tool plus everyone and their cousin is on it.

dEPENDS ON THEIR PROFILE AND WHETHER THEY ARE PART OF A "NETWORK"
When i first joined it was mainly uni's so if you were at that uini, you were part of that network and could see the profiles of people in the same network. Other than that you would have to be friends. Now there are also geographical networks, for instance i'm part of the Sheffield network so anyone in that network i can view their profile.

It's not really there for 'making friends' though.

It's probably better than the cliche profile sites like faceparty, main reason is every single one of my contacts on it are either family, real life friends or people I went to school with because people make groups and stuff, my school has it's own network near enough there is tonnes of people from my village on there.

MySpace and faceparty are for people who want to meet new people i think, im not into all that, on face book if a stranger tries to add me i block it, as i use to solely to keep intouch with people i know in person.
